Dr. Davis is a member of the AOA (American Osteopathic Association), the AOASM (American Osteopathic Association of Sports Medicine), the AOAO (American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics), the OOA (Ohio Osteopathic Association), the OSMA (Ohio State Medical Association), and the Academy of Medicine of Toledo and Lucas County. He also is the Chairman of the Board of Northwest Ohio ESWT, LLC. At St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center he serves as a member of the Clinical Faculty and of the Utilization of Osteopathic Methods and Concepts Committee. He is a member of Northwest CORE (Center of Osteopathic Research and Education), and is a member of the CORE Clinical Faculty at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Davis is a member of OUCOM Sigma Sigma Phi (a National Osteopathic academic / service society). Some of his research includes Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy and OUCOM Skeletal Muscle Physiology Research with Robert Staron, PhD. Recently, Dr. Davis has lectured to both the AOASM and AOAO. At the 18th Annual Clinical Conference for the AOASM, he lectured on "Surgical Innovations for the Hip and Knee," and as a distinguished speaker for the AOAO, he lectured on the "ACL with Osteotomy" and "Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)."
Dr. Davis's philosophy of orthopedics and sports medicine centers on teamwork. This team consists of Dr. Davis, the head coach of the 'team,' you, the most important part of the team, and other physicians, staff, employees, and physical therapists. An open line of communiation with his team is vital to accomplish the goal of health restoration.
Dr. Davis and his wife, Stacy Bowen, D.O., have four children - Darcy, Trent, Grant and Cassie.
