Dr. Davis & Friends:
We just wanted to send some pictures of Becca to show all of you that she did get to play her last 6 games of her senior year. She was VERY HAPPY to be on the court with her team and twin sister Beth. Thank you so much for all you have done the last year and a half with the 2 ACL surgeries that Becca has had to go through. Becca’s hard work and determination to get back to playing basketball paid off. She had a hard time scoring right at first, but then she is known for her defense and rebounding.
In Becca’s third game we finally saw her score some points. She has a total of 11 points and just about as many rebounds too. She even got a rebound after falling down (which I held my breath every time she fell, and that was often), and was still sitting on the floor (she couldn’t get up fast enough, so she grabbed the ball from where she was) at the last game they played in tournament. It was awesome to see. These stats may not sound good to some people but for Becca it is outstanding, as you know.
To see her smile and be on the court where she loved to be brought tears to not only me, but to many other people too. Thank you again for everything and please don’t take offense when we say, “We hope to never see you again!” Take care and God Bless you.
Sincerely,
Julie Giesige & Becca Giesige
